Top five Tallest Buildings in the World

  1-Burj Khalifa (Dubai)


The 829.8 meters (2,722 ft) taller Burj Khalifa known as Burj Dubai is the tallest building in the world. This Sky scraper is situated in 1 Sheikh Muhammad bin Rashid Blvd-Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The creation of this mega scheme was started on 6 January 2004 and after the five years manufacture the building accomplished on 30 December 2009 and since 2010 it is considered as the tallest building in the world. Having 163 floors, Burj Khalifa was officially opened on 4 January 2010 first time for the general public. This large scale construction has 30,000 homes, Parkland of 3 hectares, 9 hotels, 19 inhabited towers and 12 hectare Burj Khalifa Lake which is man-made. Constructed with 1.5 billion US dollars it is developed by Emaar Properties and designed by Adrian Smith. The Structural engineer was Bill Baker. The beautiful and prettiest building was actually made by the government in order to expand it from an oil based financial system to tourism and services.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             

 2-Taipei 101 (Taiwan)


one more prettiest, fascinating and 2nd tallest building in the world is Taipei 101 which is situated in Xinyi District Taipei Taiwan. This landmark was considered as the tallest from 2004-2010 until the construction of Burj Khalifa. Taipei 101 which was formerly known as Taipei World Financial Center is constructed with the cost of NT$ 58 billion having 101 floors with the height of 509 meters where its top floor is of 439 meters high. This wonderful sky scraper was completed in 2004 and on 31 December 2004 was officially opened for the general public. Basically this extremely large building is created as a symbol of Asian Tradition and the Evolution of technology. The type of the building is of marketable offices which is managed by Urban Retail Properties & owned by Taipei Financial Center Corporation. The LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) awarded Taipei 101 the Platinum Certification in July 2011 that made it as the major and tallest green building in the world.

Having the height of 1614 ft (492 m), Shanghai World Financial Center is the 3rd tallest Building in the word which was created with the cost of USD $ 1.20 billion. This super sky scraper landmark is located in 100 century avenue, Pudong (Shanghai, China). This prettiest building is consists of offices, museum, hotels, retail, observation and Parking garage. The Construction of this stunning building was started on 27 August 1997 and completed in 2008. It has 101 floors having the floor area of 381,600 square meters and 91 elevators or lifts. It was officially opened on 28 August 2008 as the owner of Shanghai World Financial Center Co, Ltd. Shanghai World Financial Center is designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and Developed by Mori Building Co.              

                                                                                                                                                          4-(Tie) Petronas Tower 1 (Malaysia)

AT number four there comes (Tie) Petronas Tower 1 among the top five tallest buildings of the world. Petronas Towers are basically the twin towers having the same structure and height situated in Jalan Ampang Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). From 1998 to 2004 The Petronas Towers were the tallest structures in the world according to CTBUH (Council on tall buildings & Urban Habitat) which was surpassed by Taipei 101. These landmark structures are actually the symbol of Malaysian increase and excellence which was completed on 1 March 1996 with the cost of US$ 1.6 billion.  It has a height of 452 meters (1483 ft) that consist of 88 floors. The Tie Petronas Towers are owned and urbanized by KLCC Holdings Sdn Bhd and intended by Cesar Pelli.                                                                                 

                                                                                                                                             5-KK 100 (China)


KK 100 which is formerly recognized as Kingkey 100 is located at the height of 442 m (1,449 ft) in Shenzhen, China and is the 5th tallest building in the world right now. This marketable mixed use building comprises of hotel and offices which was completed in September 2011. KK 100 consists of 100 floors & 66 lifts offering the total floor area of 220,000 square meters. This mega project was designed by Terry Farrell and structural engineer was Arup. KK 100 is owned by Kingkey Group; surely this sky scraper is one of the prettiest constructions in the world having all the latest technologies and innovations.
